We are making the final push to release our new record, to be entitled "Death of Urgency." It will be released on vinyl by our friend Chris's Death of a Modernist label. The heralded Catalyst records will be putting out the CD version. We are extremely anxious to get this out and get things rolling again after a few months of limited activity. The band is happy with what we've put together and hope that you can all get something from it. Expect to see this record available for purchase sometime early this winter. After a record release show somewhere in Southern California and some additional hometown shows to get back in the swing of things, we will tour to our fullest ability (though that may be limited for a few months). The following areas should look out for some Abandon shows in the next year: West coast, East coast, and maybe Europe or Japan.
Sincere thanks to everyone who has supported us and will continue to support us. We will try our best to return the favor however we can.
With life in every breath,
xandyx and abandon.

AZ was everything we hoped for.
So we got back from the Abandon/Separation mini tour a while ago, I always just end up lagging super hard on blogging about our trips. Jesus fucking run-on sentences man. Anyways, the trip was fucking awesome. AZ back down to So Cal gave us a little taste of being back on tour, sans the shitty aspects. Just pure fun.
My current thoughts regarding this trip: The Separation is filled with great dudes. Their new shit is unbelievable. Vegan bacon cheeseburgers rule. Falafel rules. I love drums. I love drummers. Feel Bad Now will be missed. Kurt is a champion. Orange County is still the best place ever.
Thank you for everything.

This Blog is seldomly updated.
Every now and then I'll stumble across this page and realize how infrequently it's posted on. My apologies to anyone who may actually follow this; seemingly we tend to forget the importance of internet communication.
Anyways, a shit ton has been going on with Abandon lately. We've just finished writing and recording the LP material and are now waiting for our final studio session to finish up the Vocals/Add-ons. As for now, we're working on tuning and tightening everything up before then. We're still massively in debt from the $1,800 emergency tour van we rented last winter (U-haul, I fucking hate you.) and because of this, there has been a slight change of plans. The mix will be a little rougher, and our budget for vinyl and merch will be way less, so bear with us on this one.
As far as shows go, we've booked a weekend trip out to Arizona to play with our good friends in The Separation from Aug. 7th - Aug. 9th. After these, October 24th marks the date of Seven Generations' final performance. This is more than an important show. 7G has been one of the most significant bands to come out in the last decade. If you're reading this right now and haven't heard of them, my mind is blown.

Other than those, we're going to take it easy on shows until the record's out. We want to get as much done as possible within the next couple months, and it doesn't quite help when all of your equipment is going to shit. Anyways, expect a tour coming up sometime shortly afterwards and be on the lookout for any updates and reminders. Thanks for reading.

2008 Demo
Lately it's been brought to my attention that a lot of people have been asking us for or if we still have any copies of the demo left. Unfortunately, we've been out of them for awhile now do to the short amount of them that we actually made which was about 110 I believe.
So myself and the band have decided to allow the demo to be downloaded for free though this blog. We want everyone to at least have the demo recordings so that people can listen to them whenever they please. So here is the link for all the people who've been asking us for a copy of the demo. I know it's not a hardcopy, but it's the best that we can do.
Download:
Thanks for all of your support.

Miscellaneous Updates
Yet again, it's been quite a while since we've posted anything new. We've been back from tour for quite a while now and I think it's definitely safe to say that the trip went very well. We met some great friends, made some new ones, played with awesome bands, and had an overall great experience. Though I could go on with tour for hours, I suppose I'll concentrate on the present and future for now.
It turns out that the idea of a one-sided 12" has been surpassed by a full length LP, hopefully due out sometime in late Spring/early Summer of this year. We've coincided with our good friend Chris' upcoming label Death of a Modernist Records to press and release the vinyl. As of now, The LP will consist of all 3 demo tracks re-recorded along with 5-6 newly written songs we've been working on. The vinyl will be out of 500, including 100 on color & 400 on black and shall be coming along with new shirts and re-printed hoodies (for those of you who missed them on tour). Since we don't actually have a website to blab on yet, we'll be posting all of the information regarding merch, shows, tour, & etc. on this blogspot for now. Pre-orders for the record should be up within the next few months, so check back with us soon.
